Coulter Physical Therapy was founded in
Russellville, AR, in 1989 by Seth Coulter, PT, to meet the physical
therapy needs of Russellville, AR, and the surrounding area. Seth
is a native Arkansan born in Crossett, AR. In 1997, Phil Howard, PT,
joined the staff. Besides being a physical therapist, Phil is a certified
weight trainer. Coulter Physical Therapy provides general, orthopedic,
sports and industrial physical therapy with the goal of returning
people to their normal functional levels and their normal lives. Coulter
Physical Therapy has brought many ingenuitive treatments and preventions
to the community during the last decade. They were the first to provide
an underwater treadmill to the area to allow patients to exercise
without stressing their joints. They also were one of the first in
the state to bring the STS to treat chronic pain such as reflex sympathetic
dystrophy. Coulter PT has now brought to the state an early detection/wellness
program to help detect potentials for osteoporesis, obesity, heart
disease and skin damage. Early detection is the best aide in early
treatment. Nicole Young was added to the staff in 2002 as the wellness
coordinator and over sees the wellness programs discusses on these
pages.
